We partner with innovative botanical farms and processors who share our commitment to sustainable cultivation with care for the workers and land as paramount principles. Together we identify and extract first-of-their-kind compounds within plants that demonstrate remarkable skin health benefits.
We believe in the nourishing and regenerative power of the incredible array of compounds found within plants, and our unique nutraceutical and skincare experience puts us on the leading edge of what we call the “nutra2derm movement”.
We leverage our unique expertise and strong multi-channel relationships to globally distribute our leading edge actives to valued customers, supported by outstanding safety, efficacy, and quality dossiers.
MEET THE TEAM
JEFFREY AVILA
Founder & Managing Director
A biology-focused product innovator, Jeff has spent 24 years in developing and commercializing award-winning botanical ingredient and product technologies in both the nutraceutical and beauty industries. His global relationships span raw material producers, B2B customers and retailers.
Jeff’s early industry experience was as Director of Sales & Marketing for Emergen-C®, working directly with Founder Jay Patrick to drive the brand’s rapid growth. More recently he co-created the Algenist™ skincare line, and led sales expansion to 21 countries. The active ingredients that he has launched include Alguronic Acid, Acumin™, HumaColl21™, AlgaVia® and Cera-Q®. He is co-inventor on 16 patented or patent-pending nutraceutical and skincare technologies.
Jeff’s ingredient and product innovations have received numerous recognitions including Marie Claire’s Prix D’Excellence, IFT Innovation Award and QVC’s Rising Star Brand Award. He holds a degree in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.

ANGELLA SPRAUVE
Formulation Senior Advisor
Angella is a Product Development expert and Formulation Chemist specializing in clean beauty innovation. She began her career as a Cosmetic Chemist, then continued into New Product Development to lead skincare, haircare, oral care and color cosmetic innovation for clean beauty leaders such as Yes To Carrots and Juice Beauty. She has worked to develop formulas for partners of all sizes, from emerging indie brands to big box beauty leaders.
Angella is a Chemistry graduate from University of California Davis, a recognized connoisseur of plant-based beauty and is passionate about the ever-evolving clean beauty space.
FIORELLA TEKIN
Branding & Design
Fiorella is an enthusiastic and creative graphic artist and web designer with a strong focus on beauty branding. She has developed innovative creative and website assets for a wide range of skincare and cosmetic brands, including Tata Harper, First Aid Beauty, Summer Fridays, RMS Beauty and Costa Brazil.
Fiorella holds a degree in Information Technology from the University of California Los Angeles. A world traveler with years spent living overseas, she is fluent in 7 languages.
GEOFFREY BROOKS
Technical & Business Development
Geoffrey is a 40+ year experienced Cosmetic Chemist and recognized expert in personal care ingredient development and testing. He is Founder of active ingredient firm Brooks Industries, which he successfully sold to Arch Chemical. Prior to that Geoffrey held leadership roles within several large ingredient suppliers and today maintains senior R&D relationships at global brands including Estee Lauder, Avon and P&G.
